One of WFG Industrial goals is to help people entering the workforce get the training and certifications they need to be successful in an industrial work setting.  Whether it be construction, mining, power generation or something else, we want to help you succeed in your chosen career path.

To that end, our Executive Vice President Kevin Anderson has begun working with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) as a Proctor and Coordinator. If you’re not familiar with the NCCER, it’s a non-profit education foundation that is recognized and respected throughout the country.

NCCER certification can be a great way to get valuable training and improve job prospects for industrial workers. If you’re located in WFG Industrials home state of Louisiana we’ve got great news for you. River Parishes Community College (RPCC) is launching a new workforce training initiative in partnership with Absolute Safety and will be offering Construction Site Safety Technician Training (CSST) to ANY Louisiana resident.

The CSST training is normally $1,500 but will be free under the Reboot Your Career program which is funded by the CARES Act. The goal offering this free training is to help workers who may be unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are interested in jobs that have potential for high wages and successful careers.

The CSST training is a 100 hour long program that prepares participants to return to work with valuable skills and a proactive approach to safety. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive certification which they can show to potential or existing employers.

Kevin Anderson of WFG Industrial notes that “As a local Louisiana company, having free NCCER training for safety is great for construction companies or craft tradesmen that want to grow their career path.”

If you’re interested in this training you can register and check out a full list of dates and locations here. Be sure to also let your friends and family know about this amazing opportunity to get this free training. We want to be a continued advocate and resource for local Louisiana companies and this is a particularly good opportunity you don’t want to miss out on!
